Book about cooking and living in the manors of Mark Brandenburg

“Bei den Edlen Gänsen zu Tisch” presents a realistic picture of the life of the Brandenburg landed gentry with 180 original recipes and stories from the period from 1850 to 1950.

How did they organise a manorial household 100 years ago? Where are the roots of the county? The stories are about the life of manor owner and their servants living in one building. Furthermore they inform about meals prepared in the kitchen and the way how festivities were celebrated.

We develop Graphic Concept and service the Design as well as the prepress. This includes the investigation and analysis of ancient cookery-books that leads to a choice of typical fonts of the time described and a handy format. Pictograms and background pictures specifically designed illustrate the recipes in an authentic way.
